SKB Roto-Moulded 4U Shallow Rack The redesigned roto-moulded Shallow Rack Cases cater to the needs of musicians and professional audio/video engineers. The new model, 1SKB-R2S, features a full front and rear cover for easy access, replacing the previous rear access panel. Both doors are equipped with a rubber gasket to keep water out of the case. These Shallow Racks are constructed from roto-moulded materials for enhanced strength and durability. They showcase a new exterior design that includes interlocking capabilities, recessed steel Mil-Spec black twist latches, shock-absorbing rubber feet, and heavy-duty flush handles. Additionally, the inclusion of rear rack rails and the updated cover design has extended the internal depth of the new Roto-moulded Shallow Racks to 10.7 inches from front to rear rail. This allows for gear to be mounted both front and rear, using the supplied rackmount clips. The new depth of 10.5 inches on the 2, 3, and 4-space X-racks accommodates a wider variety of components, including effect processors (such as Line 6 and Digitech), signal processors (like the DBX Comp and Rack Rider EQ), power conditioners (including Furman and Samson), bass amps (like SWR, Gallien-Krueger), line mixers, wireless microphone systems (from brands like Shure and Sony), as well as CD and cassette players. This design allows users to keep their equipment plugged in while closing the back panel.
